I think Limp Bizkit is the best band there ever was and possibly could ever be. I saw Limp in concert in Albuquerque, New Mexico on June 29th 1999. It was the best concert I've ever been to. There were 17 bands playing and it was held at the New Mexico State Fair Grounds, it was hosted by 107.9 The Edge which is an alternative rock station in Albuquerque, and they charged $1 for every band that played. There was an autograph tent set up and I was lucky enough to get Limp's autograph. They were the coolest group of guys I've ever met, they are really nice and just all around cool! Limp was the last group to go on stage that day, they were not on stage in time because some of the other groups like Kid Rock, Smash mouth, etc... had taken too long to set up. I worked my way up through the crowd trying to get as close to the front as I could. When they finally made it on stage and started to play I was so excited. I couldn't believe that my favorite group in the whole world was not even 20 feet away from me playing my favorite songs. They were scheduled to stop playing at 10 p.m. but they didn't, they kept playing until around 10:45 p.m. when the fair grounds shut the electricity out. Limp was in the middle of "Nookie" and the crowd was so hyped up, everyone was jumping around and singing as loud as they could, when all of a sudden the sound was gone and all the stage lights were off. People started chanting and getting pissed off when everyone realized that Limp was not coming back on stage anymore. So I started to walk back to the exit, and on my way home I listened to the radio and found out why the electricity was cut off. Needless to say I was upset about not being able to watch the rest of Limp's set but I was still happy that I even got a chance to see them live and I got their autograph, so it turned out to be an awesome day. So now I'm waiting or their new CD to come out and then I'm gonna try to make it to another one of their concerts because they just rule da stage !!! |
