Durst Readies Lyrics As Limp Eyes Cypress Tour

Fred Durst recently rejoined his Limp Bizkit counterparts in a Los Angeles studio after heading home to Florida to crank out lyrics for the band's upcoming album.

Durst spent roughly two weeks in Florida writing lyrics for Limp's third album, tentatively titled "Chocolate Starfish And The Hot Dog Flavored Water." Much of the music for the album has already been recorded, but the anticipated album now looks like it will arrive later in the summer than the July 4 release originally planned.

When the album turns up, it will feature beats courtesy of Ruff Ryders producer Swizz Beatz on at least one track.

Until the album is wrapped up, Limp's tour plans remain uncertain, though Cypress Hill says that they have been approached about touring with the band later this summer.

"It's going to be some outrageous stuff going on there," Cypress Hill's B-Real told MTV News Wednesday night at the Online Hip-Hop Awards. "Fred called me, and we had been wanting to do a tour for a while, but it never really happened. So eventually time passed, and we were able to hook it up." [RealVideo]

Also on Durst's plate is a cameo appearance in Eminem's new video for "The Real Slim Shady." The clip makes its debut on a one-hour special "Boys From Detroit" episode of MTV's "Making The Video," which also features a clip from Kid Rock. The show will air on April 24 at 10:00 p.m. (ET/PT).
